She said: “I was frightened about going to Crosshouse to complain because I didn’t now what Adele Rennie was capable of.
“My grandad was 80-years-old, had suffered a stroke and was in the care of this unhinged woman.
“Looking back on it, she knew Adele was on that same night out.
“Things started to fall into place but I couldn’t work out where I fitted in because I didn’t know Adele. That’s when I realised she was a nurse on my grandad’s ward.
“When I asked why, he said he’d seen my grandad in the hospital and had put two and two together.
